Hello,everybody!

I have question for people who familiar with Hummer H3 engine. Could You explain to me all advantages and disadvantages of 3.5L Hummer H3 engine. Why they(GM) chose 3.5L 5 cylinders inline engine? There are many different more standart engines to choose from Ghevrolet,GMC etc. Probably they have some reasons for it.

Best regards and thank You for help.

okay the older 3.5 / 3.7's have warpage and head gasket issues. off road their fine on Highway their a little slow to accellerate. Why the in line five's best ask Gm people ( try at Gm Drivetrain show in St Catherines in Aug) It was there we found out that our Alpha was to get a 4cylinder diesel till they decided on using Silverado/Avalanch 5.3 l v8's P.S. our 08 H3 Alpha can achieve 150 kph and hold it.

So the old engines are not so durable? Is it worth to buy H3 2006 or 2007 with 100,000km on it? What do You think?

My GMC Canyon has the 3.5L with 180,000km on it no issues the thing produces great power my truck can do 160 km and hold it no problem with 4.11 33's geared same as a H3T and btw I beat the living hell out of the engine I mean it
