Tire Inflation

Greetings,
Recently changed the OEM tires P265 75R 16 114S on my 2007 H3 Luxury to Michelins LX/MS2 LT265 75R 16. Can anybody advise as to the PSI I should have them at?

PSI should be at manufacturer recommendation.
But my stock 285/75 16 have 35psi into them, since in doing mostly hwy with them.

I do understand that the placard says 30psi, the problem is that I aslo understand that from P metric to LT tires there is an inherint difference in air pressure suggested on most sites. I had though my dealer replaced the OEM P265 tires with the same, but they are LT265. Can anyone advise, based on that?

Whilst there is so much speculation as "what to do", I decided to call Michelin directly and here goes;
If going from a P265/75/R16 to LT265/75/R16/E on a Hummer 2007 H3, a miniumum tire pressure should be 50PSI and the maximum should be 80PSI.

sounds good Rhino went from 35 psi p265's to lt285's at 30 psi The tire is a mt as well so lower pressure.

Hiiii minimum of 50psi I have stock LT285/75 16 Ive tried them at 50psi when I had a load of about 1 ton of pavement block in the cargo area + 3oo or 400lbs of 2x6 on the roof. the truck had a ride similar to a cadillac. But once unloaded on the way back from my fathers place to here in Repentigny, it was really unconfortable,, I could feel almos every sand grain on the road, so imagine hole, cracks, rocks. I had to deflate as the tire were much too hard and were riding on center belt. I dont know much about Michelin tire, but I think its excessive.
its my opinion. I might be wrong.
PS on the Hummer Bridgestone Dueler LT285/75 R16 it is mentionned MAX PSI 50

Our tires have been on a year + with no abnormal wear if manufacturer suggested that it is possible that they suggested max pressure did you tell them the truck envolved our tires were shop installed to a pressure they calculated and even two dealers and another mechanic agreed .

Michelin asked specifically for what vehicle, when I mentioned tire inflation on the LX/MS2 LT's. As most of you know, an LT tire has a stiffer side wall and thicker tread than P rated tires. For this reason they take more psi than their "passenger or P-metric" counter parts, but can carry more weight becasue of this extended range of air inflation. For the weight of the Hummer H3, 50PSI on the MS2's is suggested, as a minumium. If you load it up, then you can raise the pressure to 80PSI, which is the max right on the sidewall. Lower than suggested pressures on LT tires result in excessive heat build up in the side wall and tread and, as the manufacturers mention, can result in tire failure. Goodyear also mentions the same in their infation charts for LT's. Mileage will also be a huge difference. Try going up a hill on LT's at 30PSI, then switch to the recomended 50PSi and you'll notice a huge difference. Yokohama and Toyo also agree. Gotta check the facts boys! See for yourselves and go to the sites, even the Tire Association of North America state the same.
