Should or should not ?

Is it a bad idea to put the larger tires (LT 285/75/R16) on my 2007 H3 Hummer that doesn't have the Adventure package on it. I have the Luxury package . I think it looks better with LT 285/75/R16 tires, but it might cause some characteristic
problems in the future? Since it does not have the 4:1 electronic transfer case and locking rear
differential? I think i have 4:11 gears ? Not sure ? Would power loss be alot and gas milage ? Thanks .
