So as Polar Bear stated the way the rear leaf springs go under the axle really limits the off-road clearance and dampers performance. So instead of going the spring over route I have really been looking into the idea of doing a triangulated 4-link and coilover conversion too the rear and (trying to obtain 4" inches of lift). I have found quite a few DIY four link kits with brackets, axle truss, tubing, johnny joints and all hardware. Then fitting with a pair of King Shocks Coilovers 12 or 14 inches of travel, custom mounts for them, air bump stops, limiting straps etc. What are your guys' thoughts and input to attempting this?

I am trying to find some information or kits for this but I keep coming up with nothing!

Also, I think that a 5 link setup would be better still or if you are going to design it from scratch I found a 6link system that actually keeps everything perfect square!

Looks good, but you need to have some polyurethane bushings on the vehicle end otherwise you will have loads of vibrations being transferred up to the body!



Which coil overs are you going to use?



This is going to be one sweet H3!

Oh dont worry this is just basics for my kit, i will use polyurethane mounts for sure, and king coilovers 2.0 with the remote reservoir. Just gotta figure what im gonna do for front end lift

Ok so an update, im still in the planning process but what I have figured out is that im not gonna go with 4" of lift out in the back maybe 2inches tops. I have been out and played a little off-road around here, now that I have 35s and its very cable as it sits so what i was thinking is getting the fox oem spec shocks up front with shock extenders and levelled and then continuing to do the rear setup as I planned before just get get a little more travel out of the rear end and getting rid of the lack of clearance from the SUA setup

Are you planning on using coil-overs in the rear or a traditional coil and separate shock?



Are you also planning on removing those annoying front spring anchors that kill the ground clearance under the H3 and hang you guys up everywhere??
