Hey everyone,
my truck now is having long tube headers installed and i m stuck on which exhaust system to follow it with. my mechanic said that Corsa would be loud and magnaflow seems also good. the set up with either will give the Alpha a dual exhaust with either systems. what are your thoughts and which should i choose. i m not sure what to take. i like an exhaust system to be loud. Also a Jet throttle body spacer is being installed as well. My alpha already has the K&N filter (in the box instead of the old disposables that came stock) and an Air-Dock system. thanks

I did the Magnaflow on my 2010 Alpha. I found it not to be loud enough for my taste. I first removed the resonator that came with the Magnaflow and it still didn't have the sound I wanted. I ended up getting a custom shop to replace the Magnaflow muffler with one from a late model V8 Camero and welding on the Magnaflow tips. Magnaflow is a great product but you may save some money and get the sound you want by getting a custom shop to do it.

i agree with you, i m basing my thoughts now on the videos i saw on youtube and i do find them to be rather low for my taste (almost stock sounding too, which i really dont want). i m going to see with corsa and ask him about a custom alternative. i do off road in the vehicle too so a stainless steel version is kind of useless as it will get dented and scratched all over the place. your idea seems great there with V8 Camaro exhaust as i was looking at the ZL1 butterfly exhaust i really liked them. i will let you know the end results and i will post a video on here. i m right now considering my next step which is supercharging and my choices are the magna supercharger or the Procharger kits. Favouring the latter as it doesnt get heat soaked compared to a top mounted supercharger (roots-type or twin-screw).
