Under Body protection for H3s

Post by whitehumh2 »

Hey Guys, I have just come across THE BEST underbody skidplating for an H3 that I have ever seen. I saw it in Fourwheeler magazine on their Project Trailhugger H3. The fit and finish is excellent and the protection is unparalleled. They use 3/16" steel plate that is contoured to the frame to protect everything under the truck and provides a smooth flat bottom to help slide through deep mud and over gnarly rocks without any worry of damage! They also make a concealed winch mount that is absolutely perfect and doesn't affect the approach angle in any way, and it looks awesome!

Kev,

I am drooling and I don't even have an H3 (although the wife was so impressed with the survivability of the H2 in the accident that she even said she might look at an H3....unfortunately that would mean I'd have to wait on my H1, but I would still consider it one step closer <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... lleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='::)' /> <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... lleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='::)' />)  Do they have a similar product for the H2?

Sadly No, but I can fabricate one for you like I have on my H2 or you can purchase the one from RubberDuck 4x4 and then I can modify it to give you even better protection!

Kev,

Hmmmm....fabricate underbody skidplates...that sounds expensive.  Let me get my baby back together and then I will consider talking to my wife about MODS!!!

Fourwheeler Magazine is the one. They are doing a full Build-Up of an H3 Alpha into a full blown-trail rig so check them out at www.fourwheeler.com

Actually the skidplates I make are about the same price as what you can buy but they are far stronger! I have been beating mine for close to 3 years now and Have only had to make one design change to the way it mounts but you can grind it into rocks as hard and as often as you want but you will never break it!!! <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... >/grin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';D' /> <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... >/grin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';D' /> <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... >/grin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';D' />
