I want to get a Optima or a Odyssey battery for my 08 H3 Alpha and wonder which series will fit best in the battery box,and still be able to use the top cover.I have read here a little grinding might be necessary on the Optima ,so any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.Also,where is the best place here to buy a Optima,or Odyssey Battery ,I live in London,Ont..Thanks..

with the odyssey batteries will that get rid of power drain when i use my winch i notice headlights dim doiwn from using the winch?<img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... #>/huh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='???' />??

and thats with the motor running 5.3 alpha 08

  Read the other posts about the Odyssey batteries.

Do a search on the forum for 'Odyssey' to find them all.



  The thing about the Odyssey batteries is that they are the only ones to provide both super cold-cranking power together with deep-cycle capacity for winching, etc.



  With Optimas and all the others, you have to choose one or the other. You cannot get both.

I have both! In my vehicles that only require a starting battery I use the Optimas, but under the Hood of my H2 for winching and starting only one battery has a home...ODYSSEY! No other battery even comes close to it's extraordinary abilities...not even the Optima! I even have Odysseys in both my 800 HO MXZX Ski-doos and soon to have one in my 800 Outlander ATV, no other battery can deal with the vibrations of off-roading and the pounding of jumps as well as the Odyssey! In my book they win no matter what!

Ok i will look into that battery Kevin just as i tried my winch i noticed the headlights dimmed and that is with the motor running  plus its the stock battery when i bought my h3 alpha ... when u left from x-mas party in kingston u took out a little of the snow bank but i went through or over the snow bank one of the two  thank you for helping with a better battery i hope this gets rid of the power drain ...Kevin driver of black rhino
