So here is the first episode;
<a href="http://www.history.ca/video/wolf+river+ ... s/video</a>
I must say, our trucks would do far better at this!
I am wondering where Tread Lightly comes into play!
Oh well! It is what it is!
Enjoy!

Would be interesting to see how the different models of Hummers would work under these conditions. Like the show so far, and agree that the tread lightly philosophy is lost on some of them. Of course the trees they hit were blocking the trails they were supposed to be following. Cut them down or run them over?

Re: Alaska Off Road Warriors
Well they could've always simply followed the river bed like the 2 brothers did!!!
I think our Hummers...ALL of them would rule for a Race/Expedition like this!!!
And we would be comfortable!

Re: Alaska Off Road Warriors
Agree that they could have followed the river, but as I am assuming they had no idea of what conditions existed on the trail and give that it is a race they would take the shorted path. On the trails they showed in the first episode I agree we could have gone faster and been comfy, but if they get into serious rock crawling etc. they would have some advantage. Of course I would assume that a purpose built Hummer would be taken on a trip like this one.

Bring on the Rocks! I love Rock Crawling and climbing ledges!
The only thing I would worry about, would be the skeg and bogs....those have never been 'friendly' to me and have always kicked my butt!
But that is the next episode...so we shall see!
I just think we Need to go to Alaska!

Re: Alaska Off Road Warriors
Agreed! Or put on an event similar to this in the Yukon! IFS isn't as rock crawling friendly as a solid axle front end, but I have had a blast rock crawling my H3 and can do it. Was more thinking along the lines of doing it at a faster speed. Either way this would be fun to do!
