We are starting to get the high winds and rain here in Atlantic - how did fellow CHCers make out in Ontario and Quebec?

You have not been offroad until you've had a HUMMER in the woods.

Just some serious winds and a decent amount of rain. No flooding or power outages to report in my area of St. Catharines, Ontario.

Went to Swiss Chalet for takeout and drove by Staples sign that minutes later blew part and killed a pedestrian several blocks away a tree toppled and dropped a hydro pole and transformer on a car resulting in a fire that destroied the tree pole and car. otherwise we survived

ps kevin was off for holidays all week ( to work on truck outside)

So, remind me not to drive to close to you during a storm, you seem to leave a trail of destruction as you drive unscathed through neighbourhoods! <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... oflmao.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':rotflmao:' /> I also think I'll check with Kevin on his vacation timing... his choice of weather is a lot different than mine! <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... oflmao.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':rotflmao:' />

Vacation days were left overs and taken to change Rhino back to stock tires to have things checked before waranty dies and to work with other brother on his halloween graveyard set up. Also to mount some new things on Rhino and finally set The Holiday Hummer or Xmas Truck up.

The Humber river is still high and a large metal frame is sitting in a boat ramp area(just off shore) and several large sandy shoals have moved. The Home Smith park west shore of Humber Dundas to Old Mill has closed early due to trees falling as valley walls landslide into the park. Sandy wasn't a big event just spotty destruction. Our street other than trees being stripped of leaves and a few small branches was just fine.

Home Smith Park Has the memorial to the Lampton Volunteer Firemen who died trying to rescue motorists stuck in Hurricane Hazel's flood waters . Just south of Old Mill is the Bloor Street bridge on which a high water mark for Hazel is displaied.

The sign involved in the death has been removed and is being inspected due to many reports it was in bad repair and had been seen flapping in winds prior to its failure.
