Question;

Would any of you happen to have experience with any of the LED offroad lights from Truck Lites, JW Speakers, RIGID, ARB or even NAPA? I am curious to hear your comments since I am considering some lighting upgrades for my H2.

Rhino uses two small led bulbs in our ARB bumper clearance lights sockets nice and bright and blue. We have seen the Rigd units in a display mount powered very nice but pricey.

Kevin, these are made in the USA by Rigid...there the best out there....I have 6 coming in for my H1...

price is high $695.99 each plus you need the led wiring $77.99

These new Intensity LED lamps from ARB utilize a pressure die cast aluminum lightweight body that also acts as a heat sink where the removable LED circuit board containing 32 SMD LEDs mounts into the front face. The Hybrid Optics (reflector & lens) are then located within a retaining bezel and held in place by the super strong polycarbonate lens. With the light assembly weighing close to 6.75 lbs, a mounting system was designed from TIG welded 304 grade stainless steel to ensure integrity under the harshest conditions. These amazing lights feature a 6500k or Kelvin color with an output of 8200 lumens. With a life span of 50,000+ hours and an IP68 Certification you will not find a better and more powerful auxiliary light.

I know people who have (2) Rigid Industry Duallies on their truck and they beat the heck out of any Hella or PIAA light around..they are stupid bright! I would love some, but I can't do the price <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... >/ohmy.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':o' />

I wouldn't say Rigid LEDs are the best. They are damn pricey. There is an alternative to them and they are just as good if not better for cheaper. Try looking up Vision X LEDs. Actually here have the link... Vision X.

I guess what I can't get over is the unbelievable difference the LED lights make! It is almost like the halogen lights aren't even on! Look at this video and you will see what I mean!

I have 2 of the rigid duallys and they take a beating and no problems..they get submerged a lot too. I also have 2 small light bars, 4 flood lights and 8 rock light pods all from visionx and all of them are running great to...I'm a big big fan of led lighting...the only reason I like the rigid stuff better is because they are coming out with some nice lights now.....they are a bit expensive but I use to have piaa 510 as my drl's and I was changing bulbs all the time and at 90 for a new set of bulbs it was getting expensive, I paid 200 bucks for the rigid duallys that I'm using as my drl's now and those things are gonna last me probably 5 years without touching them....just my 2 cents.

I'm not trying to bad mouth the rigid stuff at all. I think thier stuff is great but $$$$$$. I have been trying to do research on these led lights for when I get the money to get them for my truck. There are quite a few smart guys on the hummer network and quite a few said that the vision x stuff you are getting better bang for the buck with quality. Just to give you an idea some of them have said:

Just to throw it out there....

A VisionX Xmitter Prime Extreme light bar makes significantly more light than the rigid stuff. They are available with a EMI-free drive circuit (for you radio buffs) and operate 9-48v DC. Optics are available as tight as 10 degrees and wide as 90 degrees. Split circuits, split optics are available in a single instrument. You can even get them in split colors. Oh yea, and its avaliable in 1, 3, 5, and 10w diodes vs. just 3w.

Having had some experience with the manufacture of LED lights for defense systems, Rigid are not the best, they would be one of the best commercially available lights, but it's certainly down to the two choices being Rigid or Vision X, as Sam said there are more options with Vision X than Rigid for those in the know... I think also if my memory serves me correctly Vision X use a Cree LED which is 20% more efficient and brighter than the Rigid lights.

But if you want to get serious as far as LED's go and use a defense/mining industry standard LAB tested LED light the best I've seen is from http://www.cero.us/

I spoke to Rigid about Cero light's and they too agreed they are far superior than their light's but they're built for a completely different application/market, the cero lights are also true lumen's not claimed light the commercial LED lights, there are other industry standard lights out there that blow the commercial one's out of the water, but I can only comment on the above by having had experience with them.
