That is a photochop, haha. There is no power in the dome, so no lights.

With the recent flooding here in Alberta. I was able to drive the green machine where no public was allowed. I packed the rear of the truck with goods ranging from food and water to basic toiletries and baby supplies. Made it all the way through to Canmore, Bragg Creek and just outside of High River. Supplies made it to these locations. All RCMP check points were wide open for myself and a friend of mine. We even met up with the Canadian Military at their camp setup in the Bow Valley park. They were also very welcoming. We made a bunch of smiles, fed the Volker crew working on the road and private contractors. The supplies were split up and handed out at these locations. Must of had 1500lbs of goods loaded in the back.


Just to add - we were in plain clothes and never did claim to be anything more than just a couple of guys with supplies making a small difference.

That is very cool indeed... feeling really bad for people in these areas right now.

I just got back to Edmonton last night, went down to help my brother and neighbors out... in some parts of the city its like nothing happened... in others yopu'll be driving along and BAM! flooded out

And that's exactly right!


Brian and I were helping out the aboriginals in Morley Alberta yesterday getting emergency supplies to stranded people... I think Hummers have a new fan club out there...


It doesn't cease to amaze what rushing water can do.. The road wasnt too bad but scary to those not used to that, had to take a detour through some brush as one section of the road was gone, creek running through cutting another part in 2 but wasnt too bad...I had one guy with me for directions, amazing how resilient they are as a people. Along the side of the road is now a canal cut 1.5 meters down and as the water washes away the small debris, it exposes the larger rocks.... So it looked like an actual creek as the water was subsiding... So I asked him if that was a small creek, and he simply said... " no, we just got that..." The tone he used and the smirk had me laughing my damn fool head off... Humbled me at the end of the day actually as my opinion in the past hasnt always been the best... Maybe a few years less purgatory for me now...

How is everyone's homes in Calgary? Did everyone that is part of the group make it though OK without anything too major?
