Looking to get a set of wheels / tires for my H2 - interested in the Goodyear MT tires that are used on H1 / HMMWV's.
Anyone know where to buy these in Canada? I see
www.trailworthyfab.com is selling them, but shipping is a bitch from the US.

If you're able and willing to part with your current tread it might be easier to go to the states and get them put on, then come home.

There was a guy that registered here in trying to unload a few sets. I believe he was located in Scarborough. Same guy had an ad on kijiji also.

Willing to part with my tires, but not my wheels... so I'd have to explain 5 H2 wheels in the truck on the way home.

Gotcha. Send a PM to Toxicrider. He was discussing tire sales with another guy at the Tim Bosma car show, said he can get discounts and what not from somewhere.

So why MT's, Toyo makes a good tire-Open Country MT , MTR's are good , Pit Bull Rockers are good.
When you ask for MT you need 16.5 rims, this combo is getting as old as the 8 track LOL, You might as well start looking for 75 LP's.
I have 3 sets of used MT's with rims, Too heavy to ship with the runflats inside and too much time to remove them..
I assume you have put in a body lift, 37 mt's will be tight. I have tried to install these on another H2 but had steering issue--could not turn without hitting body under no load!

I am interested because the tires are inexpensive and wear like steal. The terrain we have around here includes a LOT of shale rock and likes to cut up tread and sidewalls.
You are the first person to indicate any issue with a 37" tire on a factory H2. My front is leveled, but otherwise no lift. Many other are running the same setup and have no clearance issues.

Now I can see that being an issue without lift.
Ya, we have a couple guys running them. One guy has replaced two so far this season due to defects in the tire.

I got new surplus MTs shipped to Toronto from NC for a total of 1250 bucks. The tires were new and never mounted and were 250 each. Shipped in 2 days for 250 using frieght quote .com
One tire,, the newest of the bunch has a slight wobble but generaly i am pleased with them. I have 7kmiles on them now and they still look new.
