Wow! What is that Monk? I do not recognise it. Certainly not H1 by the driveline. Looks like it has everything...including the kitchen sink.

Cool Rig.

Honestly don't know know much about it, the fellow got from surplus sale..

I think it's a 94 he said, even came with a little turbo and inner cooler,,,,

Gearing is hardcore on that as he says he stays at 90km max ,as the motors screaming, it's 24volt...

The part I like

It has a quick self heating system for cold starts, (separate heater and primer) basically no plugging in in winter...

Roof even has a big a/c unit !!!

I'm sure it just transported people, but ya was a great looking unit...

Even the spare tire, hook has a coiled spring to assist in lifting if off the ground, or putting back in..., and a shock lol so nothing snaps up/down fast and hits ya...

That was almost mint, considering mostly is steel,,,

Lol if you look threw his windows you can see my tail gate ...heheh

Definitely not an H1 chassis though. You can see the solid axles in the back and the drive shaft drop down to the back rear end. Still looks like the "anything you want any time of the year machine"  :photo:

That vehicle is a western star 1.5 ton LSVW in service in Canadian forces in the 90's

It replaced A whole bunch of medium size army truck from the 70's and 80's

Fiat 2.5 liter turbo diesel not really powerfull 115 ponies, 100kph max speed, not very agile in off road, poor quality build and not reliable, fleet across canada was grounded for months in 2003 due to break faillure at alarming rate and not starting below -10c to mentionned only those. I think we are enouh north to know that -10 is here almost 9 months out of the year. Hahaha!

They were all retired in 2011.

Ya the front cv shafts (no joke) physically look like they were 1/2" in diameter.

But yeah overall it looks kind of cool but yeah you're correct it probably didn't look like it was too strong

Haha.. I knew there had to be catch our we would all be after these trucks too. So basically the truck is designed to carry its weight in parts and jacks and you have to be a full blown mechanic to drive one.
Too bad as it looks like a contender... if it will start. 115 HP....uggg. I thought my H1 was slow.
OK that was kind of negative... I'm sure the guy who owns it is having fun with it. Good for him.

Thanks for posting Monk. This forum is slower than I have ever seen it.
