I figured I will try to grind off a rust spot just behind my back door.

Lol, the rust gets outta hand quick.

This is what I saw under it

I grinded all rust I could, and this ugly hole was left.

I got some metal and put it behind. Then the almighty filler

Then off to many many hours of sanding to get most of that off

Looks much better than it did. I am very grateful I purchased a HMCO.

Lol, I cant stop, it is almost like I am obsessed.

I tried to work on it a couple hours after work and then a little bit more on the weekends here and there and when I finish for the day I just put a coat of black paint over it so it does not look weird and wait till the next day haha

Basically when my truck was painted the first time the idiots tried to grind off most of the rivets, then bondo to hide it.

So now I'm grinding down to the rivets, drilling them out and then replacing them with the 3/16 rivets.

Trying to level things out while in there, hehe.

This is my first attempt at body work but luckily I'm taking my time at everything and sanding things extra smooth, so it's not turning up too bad.

Plus many hours of watching YouTube videos.

Lol, Roy put in all the pop rivets on my driver side so I got the confidence to do my passenger side haha.

I just finished the back quarter panel side today but if you look at that third picture you can see the top of the fender all those little bumps are covered pop rivets in Bondo so I will grind it right down , so it's touching the aluminum and then replace rivets (after I smooth things out)that might be for tomorrow.

I'll have to see how my ambition is
