Be careful With Retreads.

Post by Injunfarian »

As title says be careful with retreads, I ended up winning a set online which definitely helped out with the push to get my H1 back on the road earlier this year...

I have since logged about 5,000miles on it in about 2.5months before today one of the tires blew out on me.

Thankfully I was not going fast and didn't cause an accident, but would have hate to have it happen at Highway speeds with my kids on board.

Thankfully I am looking to go up in sizes over the winter... currently on the fence in regards to 40 or 41.5/42"s.... I will likely be doing a 3" body lift.

Yeah thankfully I was travelling at lower speed(50km/h) however 2min before that I was doing 80-90km/h

I am so happy to be back behind the wheel of my hummer.. going to miss it when i put it away this winter.. but will be working on it most weekends so wont be too bad.

Well that just means I need to move up in tire size sooner than later lol. Likely putting the truck away in November and will be collecting the parts etc to go bigger, that is the plan anyways... However I am not always good at sticking to the plan.

Glad you came out with no trauma to you or your Hummer. Yes the lift and the 40s are great on the truck. A bit of an investment but the cool and fun factor go up accordingly.

Enjoy.
