I went to Roy's to Evacuate the freon from my air conditioning system,he drained it all and I drove it home like that. I wanted to work on it first, then bring it back for the recharge.
This is why I wanted a new compressor, the body was leaking out back.

The only issue I had was one side of the receiver drier was frozen so I had to spin off the dryer and then try to unseize the one flare nut.
Whew got lucky and it worked.

Re: A/C compressor change out :)
Looks great my A/C has been inoperable since I purchased my truck in 2006. It definitely is on my TODO list but with a HMCO(Opentop) it is not as big of a priority.
Looks like you are doing alot of work to your truck recently, I would lie if I said I wasn't jealous. I need to start on mine again.

Ya, I've been doing anything that needs looking at, haha
I enjoy working in the truck, , always keep on learning..
Gonna get warm soon, hot probably, AC really felt good
As in your case, errrrr, I saw a few brand new air conditioning compressors at Roys Shop....
And I know he's got the full setup for charging in evacuation. Next time I'm there, gonna get the freon charged up

Re: A/C compressor change out :)
I picked up my compressor from RockAuto.
Lol , BUT I broke a line (didnt even notice) till I was laying under my truck, so have a fluid shop building a new high pressure line..
Ya, had some crazy hot days already.
