The passenger side clip snapped when I tried to hook up the cargo cover last time and it almost took out an eye of mine. I have done extensive research on line but still cannot find a place where I can buy one or two of them. I am sure Hummer on the Queensway will ask for an arm and a leg. Any one knows where I can find this little attachment clip?<img src='

had mine replace under warranty 4 times, as they break easily on the passenger side. I was even tempted to have them glued in place, but then if it break repair would be impossible. in any case, they can charge much for a piece that is worth only a few $

What a lousy and faulty design of that clip, and I have read similar complaints from US Hummer Club members. I had cargo net hooks in my previous car and they were so sturdy the two hooks could easily hold 10 to 20 pounds of grocery in the net, but these flimsy attachment clips are so fragile even my 6 years old son can break them with just one finger. I just asked Queensway Hummer on the phone whether they could claim under warranty for me and they said NO! Well, if it costs too much for them to replace it I shall improvise and tailor make one myself. It is absolutely unacceptable for it to break just from the tension force of the cargo cover. If you add the cargo net like me the chances of breaking it again and again should be very very high.

I have the OEM cargo net,, couple of times the clip broke by forcing something inder the net lifting it too high , it snapped off, other time, by putting dress suit envelope on top of it and it snapped, but they never charged me for it, they replaced them free. In any case on the parts list I issued out the parts is worth 4.40,, at plaza they sells it 15.95, or 12.45 garage price, told them it was a rip off. Just call a few dealer to check for the parts number 10414612 "retainer" ans ask for the price. you may get lucky. Plaza has 2 in stock. Almost tempted to go and buy them both. just in case...

Queensway Hummer wants $21.50 plus tax for each one of them! I have checked GM OEM parts and accessories site and even there I cannot find the cover attachment clip. Very sad indeed GM wants to rip H3 owners off with a bad designed clip like that for the cargo cover.

Quensway really are highway robber. Well I can always go and buy the one at plaza and send them to you if you dont have any alternative.
maybe you can fix it permanently with an adhesive like 3M coumpound to glue it to the panel. In that way the little retainer leg olding to the panel wont be of use anymore as the ring will be part of the panel. if the little finger break , then it will be another game.

Grab whatever cheap ones you can get your hands on and bring them to the next meeting and I will split them with you. I tried using the original crazy glue and super glue to attempt to put the clip back, but it won't stick. I thought about the little finger breaking too so it may not be an good idea at all, because plying it back out would be difficult and it may leave a scar in the clip retainer hole.
