Hello everyone. Just purchased an 03 Hummer, kind of on impulse, always admired them from afar but never could afford one. Retired now so have a few extra $$. Anyway after bringing my new purchase home and after closer inspection, realized that the front skid plate was missing. To be truthful in my ignorance didn't know they were original equipment. Only after looking at photos online did it dawn on me that all was not right. Contacted the previous owner who had no idea where it was as he had purchased the Hummer from the original owner and no mention was apparently made of it. Perhaps had been removed due to damage or to make oil change easier. In any event thought I would check to see if anyone could please help me out. They are still available through GM however was quoted a price of around $900 which seems a bit pricey. Hopefully there may be a used one known to the Hummer community that may be more reasonably priced. I live about 45 minutes from Halifax and if I can get a lead will undertake to look into related shipping costs. Thanks so much for reading this lengthy ad. Looking forward to being a member of this Club, looks like an abundance of knowledge available.
