The falls is a pretty tame run... just cursed!! And I want to make it to the falls too!!

On a strange note the car wash killed my alternator recently...

Yeah the Falls is not a hard run.... just cursed, lol.

Our last attempt was aborted when the rear leaf springs on one of the Jeeps accompanying us broke in two over an easy obstacle.... clean break right down the middle!!

Your alternator dying at a carwash is not the best start to these plans. <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... /smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

I'm keeping my fingers crossed then. <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... /smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> I've got two big trips planned for September and am hoping I still have some spending money for them. <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... iggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

My Check Engine light came on again after we started discussing this. I've since replaced the MAF sensor so let's see if that resolves it permanently. If that's the only item that breaks during the discussion and actual event, I'll be happy. <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... /smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Yeah I'm thinking Dave meant the 10th... Must have been too busy installing the new body kit and pearl paint to notice..... <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... on_eek.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

My Bad....10th was the intent! Not sure how I got the 13th....

The Alternator isn't too bad to replace via Nappa... I paid 300 and change if I remember right. plus you get a better warranty than going with GM as they are professional cop-outs! "The warranty isn't valid if you actually use it!!...."

Sorry havena been on for awhile.... try to figure out this market of ours and generating business.....

You know what may not be a bad idea. It's rather obvious that these alternators don't even like water from rinsing them out. I wonder if I can get a AirRaid pre-filter and somehow modify it to go over the alternator? At least the top part to stop debris and water from going in but you also don't want it to overheat.... something to think about when I get around my financial whoa's.... wife dropping out of school was a killer!
Live life like there is no tomorrow!! You never know what's around the next corner.....
