That was priceless!! Just as I am bitching about Shell being out of gas... "OMG DAVE!!" Thank goodness someone likes my hair-do!! All I get is "Psshhhh that's way too short dude" and I'm like, Ok seriously.. it's already twice the length from when I buzzed it.... LOL
Interesting idea about that wrap for the alternator it's almost crazy enough to work... I am going to investigate this idea, even just something secured to the top half would be a good shield and still give plenty of breathing room. I have to say though that the H2 has the alternator in a much better location than my H3 did!!

Better idea..... should be fairly either to fabricate something out of sheet metal that covers and yet still allows air to flow through. Not sure how hot they get but whenever things are spinning like that - there's always heat and I've seen the insides burn up...
