Re: Alberta September Trail Run
I'm hoping to know tomorrow if I will be able to make it to this. It's coming down to finances, as I leave the following week to Seattle and want to ensure I have enough money to enjoy myself there.

Don't worry about gear or anything like that as we have plenty... just gas money, food & drink and that's it!

We'll see how it goes. I'm more concerned if something DOES break that I'm going to be SOL pulling it out of wherever it ends up, and limping it home. I've offroaded in some seriously bad stuff before, and came out relatively unscathed, but I've never done so so close to needing the vehicle for a long trip. I'll see, might bring a friend along as my emergency wallet if needed, LOL.

I don't doubt it! I used to off road with the Northern Alberta 4WD Association years ago with my other H2 and it was a blast. Absolutely loved it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Oh I hear ya, believe me... Best tip I have.. stay clear of the mud!! Otherwise it's been dry around here so should be clear of slippery muck and other such dangers. I just spent $500 on various front end pieces so I'd like to see those last more than a few weeks if at all possible, lol. It's been an expensive summer with holidays, building a fence (holy fack that is more expensive than you'd think!) and landscaping, etc.. so long story short I'd rather not be paying for repairs at the moment so I'll try to be the good influence for the both of us!!
No man gets left behind, so even in the event that something happens, we take care of each other and we'll do what we gotta do! (not that that makes the bills any easier to swallow)

Re: Alberta September Trail Run
I would love to 'Stage' from the camping spot a few miles up the road from 4 Corners and then head up to Margaret Lake (it's drier in there now so should be an easier run than last time), then continue on to the Falls, then back out to 4 Corners from there and have a fire at one of the camping spots near there.... anyone else like that route???
