I must admit that these Rancho shocks I think are the best buy that I have done to date! Man, they give a whole new ride and feel to the deuce! I leave them on the middle but next run I wanna turn them down to 1 and see how the ride is offroad...

Well worth the money to anyone looking at redoing their shocks down the road....

I am really liking Rancho products, nothing but good things to say after using them with both my Jeep and Hummer now.

In other news I pulled my winch cable out and it is kinked not too badly in a few places, but totally f-ked only like 15 feet from the end of the line somehow. Pulled the entire thing off the drum... need to get Synthetic.

That's what I'm going to do... Saves a lot of weight as well...

You just have to watch the mud with synthetic ropes from what I hear as it makes them deteriorate faster so I've heard, may not be a bad idea to keep the winch covered when not in use...

Picked up 50' of 3/8" thick Amsteel rated for 18,000lbs.... 200$ + 30$ shipping from Amazon. I was thinking about getting 100' of 1/2" thk. Tuff Stuff which is nearly half the price and good up to 16,000lbs, but the thickness is a little nuts. Don't really want any longer than 50' anyway, it reduces the risk it will bunch up on one side. I'd rather be using it in conjunction with straps anyway if I need more than 50'. Should be here on the 9th.

EDIT: Just Cancelled that order, found the exact same line for $136 elsewhere <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... ngHead.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':banghead:' />

I need to get a new fairlead and my head is spinning... hawse or derlin roller? Offset or not? CNC or polished? 1/2" thick or 1" thick? <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... adbang.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':headbang:' />

Never use kinetic straps with a winch...... You know, unless you have no choice.

Never use a roller fair lead with a synthetic winch line

- the best choice is an aluminum hawse fair lead, just like the one you bought.
