^^ Hopefully you can make it down, a wheel hub isn't too hard to replace!

Talked to Ferdy, he might be coming for this one. He had to replace all of his idler pulleys on the FJ recently... lucky for him, all under warranty. <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... ght_on.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':right_on:' />

My rig should be up and running by mid next week. Truck is running great otherwise, which is a far cry from how it was on vacation. As soon as it got home, nearly all the problems went away. Weird.

How difficult is this run? I'm interested in going on this run, I have a four day weekend off and want to get out on a proper run. My H3T is a base alpha without lockers, I'm just worried how big big of a disadvantage I'll be in without them.

Also if I do decide to come what essentials should I pack besides food/water/clothes?

you'll be good for this run without lockers - no worries at all...

bring food and a spare set of clothes and then yor beverages...

we;ll have alot of recovery gear between the rest of us, so if you do get stuck which you shouldn't - you'll just be a small tug away from freedom!

Sweet, another H3T <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... ght_on.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':right_on:' />

Base Alpha won't have any issues, just ensure you air down when we arrive and remove your side steps (if you have them).

I might have some other friends come with me, they have a ZJ, Pathfinder and stock XJ. I've been assured that all are in good mechnical shape. I figure a run to the falls should be easy (provided we don't get carried away early on!)

I had a base H3 before I traded it for my H2 - honestly never really an issue without lockers! The trails are fun for sure, but definitely not crazy and certainly nothing that would demand using lockers. And of course if it really came down to it, it's just a matter of getting the tow straps out and easing over anything challenging so really nothing to worry about.

Decided to retire the electric fans for the time being... Got the mechanical one back in and went for a cruise down the Transalta road this week. Took the left in the valley rather than right like we did previously to the ice falls, drove that all the way to BANFF!! When you hit the park the trail ends and goes to hiking/equestrian trails so turned around there... really nice this time of year, barely could recognize where I was now that everything is green!! The road's super tame with just one tiny exception - probably could have cruised up no problem but locked er up just to be safe...

I wanted an updated trail map as well but sadly there were none. Far as I can tell only real change with the updated map is a partial closure due to the washed out bridge, so taking the route across from the pit may not be an option! Lost Knife might be a good choice though as it bypasses that bridge..

Fixed my hub!

Turns out it might not of been the hub bearing after all..1 of the 4 bolts that hold the hub on was missing, 2 of the others were loose to the point I could undo them by hand and the last required about 8lb so wasn't tight at all.

So... all looking good for the 18th now!
