Sweet, another H3T <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... ght_on.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':right_on:' />
Base Alpha won't have any issues, just ensure you air down when we arrive and remove your side steps (if you have them).

No steps, I just jump in and out. Once I call around to find a place to stay I should be good to make it if that hail storm didn't cause too much damage.
Any recommendations if a guy should stay in Calgary or right in Cochrane? I'm still trying to get some friends in for the trip but we'll see what happens.

Yeah, there is a super 8 motel right by where we meet in the morning - only one in cochrane I believe so should be easy to find....
I hope I have my truck back together in time... I have the front end off putting in new drl's...

The Alberta JK Owners (Jeep Wrangler JK) will be doing an informal run the same day out there. I actually came here to invite you guys to join us on an open run and this thread was at the top of the list. :-) We'd love to meet up with you guys for a run, lunch, dinner after, whatever you guys are up for. We don't expect to have too many rigs that day, so don't worry about us swamping you with the enemy, LOL!

From the pit.... Is that bridge still washed out? I still like going that way...
I haven't had to pull multiple jeeps out since last year so I welcome the opportunity again....

Hey Ross good to hear you are up and running again.
We should drive up together if you don't mind driving with a slow H1.

Re: Waiparous Falls Run
Hey Guys what radios are you guys using?
I would like to pick one or two up so I can join in on the conversation during the run and I want to make sure they are compatible.
Thanks

^^ Just your standard FRS/GMRS, nothing fancy.
A few guys have CB's as well. I like having portable radios myself for scouting, guiding and of course mocking Dave when he gets stuck; CB's are kind of limited in that respect.
Greg had some wicked portable radio's, need to get myself one of those soon!

Yeah, just grab some cheap motorola's for now... I think we should make the switch to those ones Greg has... Those were much better!
What's with the weather?? I wanted to get my front bumper back on but it's stupid out there again...

Dude! Definitely wouldn't mind getting out with your group but as we have a few guys travelling in from out of town this weekend I wouldn't want to be trying to re-organize things this late in the game, for their sake... but totally if we run in to you guys like Sugarphreak says - we'll shoot the chit for a bit! Personally I'd be more than happy to get the two clubs out together.
Yeah Dave when I was in the area last week the maps are all updated with the bridge closure... Although the online maps don't show the same closure so not too sure what to make of it really!
For radios I just got a set of Motorolas from Best Buy and one did die on me... but the other is going on 3 years old and still working good. Not a fancy set by any means either - middle of the road type deal price wise, under a hundred bucks if I recall.
