Re: Wrenching Party !
Well that was quite a day.
On one truck, we replaced the lower bearings in the geared hub,
Then did both output seals in the rear diff, as well as rebushed the caliper to reduce caliper play.
Replaced both rear caliper pad brackets due to excessive wear. A total of 9 hours in the hoist.
Another truck had a few relays installed for lights,.
A couple of other looked on taking in some knowledge.
Weather was great and we accomplished what was set out to get done.
Thanks all whom came out and enjoyed everyone's stories.

Re: Wrenching Party !
Also if someone would have said you can wear out the pad bracket,I would a laughed... Then Roy shows me the wear into the metal...
I thought that part basically lasted a life... One side was BAD,
I'll have some pics soon, of the hub, (empty)
we all had a great time chatting. I might have let out a "grunt" secretly,, but one thing I learned,
Roy's has done this stuff a looooong time, for the working in the back, he'd have his hand above his head, (diffs) looking straight forward and lol, working the whole time by feel, who does that?
And Roy, HAPPILY I woke the am, (yes like a 2 x4 stiff as a board ) to zero drips on the ground,!!! I mean zero!!!
I swore I was doomed to drive the earth with a leaky seal...hehehe
Can't wait till the airport meet guys, like 2 weeks....would like to see some more of our members....
For those that's never been to a "wrench party" , go!! One thing that was awesome, was all parts that was needed was
There, even surprise itmes one might need as one digs into a project,
The extra hands, and hell the conversing I'd say was great, was good meeting like minded peeps, and future ideas....Mmmmhmmm

Re: Wrenching Party !
Hello guys, just checking in if there are any future wrenching parties planned? Missed the last one but would love to learn a bit more about the truck while fixing a few niggles.
Cheers!
