So Dave....I know that the switch from your Hummer to your Cheap was to save money on repairs. I'd bet that you've spent about $17,000 so you could save about $3,000.

There's a place for you in government.

Greg

Not really..... I was getting frustrated with the frequency of repairs and the "GM" unreliability.... Then there was the upcoming interior dismantle it needed to repair the leaking sunroof... and alot of the wiring was starting to go.... Just didn't make sense to keep.

Plus luvin the jeep - love taking the top off, gunna do the doors this year too!

And you're pretty friggin close!

So it looks like I need another Hobby... Gawd - may have to start hanging with the jeepers... :-(

Seriously thinking of a 1981 Porsche 928 Euro. I know parts will be a little trickier but he already has a place in the states that he orders from. Engine is perfect, exterior paint redone along with trim, he just had the interior to go which I will take over...

The european model for this year has a 4.7 instead of the 4.2-4.5 and like 60% more horse power without the govenor... 60,000.00 miles.... so lots o life left.. and over 350 TRUE horse power.... me likey...

Always wanted one.... so I figured now is a good time as the economy sucks, income is way down - so it just makes sense to spend money!!!

With some good nubby tires and a couple of hitch points might be a great trail car!!!

I would go with the Porsche over hanging with jeepers :)

Parts cant be that hard to get a hold of, and getting parts sent from the UK is easy too, just ask Charlie, he sure sent enough parts for the Defender when I was working on it.

I saw one a while back on Kijiji, wanted a fast sale and it sold within an hour of being posted, I didnt like the colour as it was brown or bronze, but that would of been perfect for you!

So is it in running driving condition? could you pick it up and drive it home or would it need trailering?
