I'd love to come down but my h1 is dripping coolant...drip drip...not too sure where it's coming from...I'll try to setup something with Phil to have him take a look soon before I drive around and overheat the engine and mess up my truck. I'll definitely be in for the next coffee time!

There is Phil-Calidon, myself- Stratford, and a few other DIY's out there KW area

Where is your coolant dripping?

passenger side inner fenderwell--heater core , diverter valve or overflow container cracked
centre near front of motor--water pump
front of truck- rad hoses or rad

The drip seems to be in the engine compartment close to where the belt wraps at the bottom. The upper radiator hoses are dry but the lower hoses are a bit wet...I'm not sure if it's from the lower most pulley or a hose that's dripping onto the pulley but it's a constant drip. I've parked it inside to avoid any serious problems...I'll top up the coolant before I drive it. The reservoir shows 1/2 full.

Sounds like a water pump. If you look from underneath, up towards the water pump, if you see a coolant stream from the hole on the bottom side of the water pump, then thats the problem. Only tough part about this job is taking the fan off.(screw on clutch fan) and scraping the gaskets off.

Bumping this up as a reminder for those who might want to come by today.  2pm at the Tim's on Thompson Rd. S. and Louis Saint Laurant in Milton.  Going to make this a monthly meet up to get the Hummer community in the west GTA, and others, together more often and we can look at planning events etc.

Cheers,
Jim

Well, sat there for almost an hour by myself.  Know it was short notice so no big deal.  Am going to schedule a meet up for next month and will see if folks attend.  Will look for a Tim's closer to the 401 corridor maybe.  Look for a new thread soon with date and location.

Cheers,
Jim
