not chrome on mine, I got an extra set of the OEM brushed aluminum and then went to town on them.. after washing, sanding, washing, sanding, 4 time each, then I used a "wax/grease remover" from Duplicolor and washed again. I then started inside on the back of the rim, 3 coats of Duplicolor Black Primer, the one very light coat of Rubberized rocker panel guard, then 2 coats of Duplicolor High Heat engine Paint, then 2 coats of Clear..then I washed and wiped down the front, outside oof the RIM and started over but this time i did 4 coats of primer, again a light coat of rubberized rocker panel guard, then 4 coats of Engine High Heat enamel paint, and 3 coats of Clear coat..
took lots of time but I let the RIMS bake in the HOT HOT sun in between coats...I am happy, truly happy with the results and the cost, total invested is $90 in material, my time is not counted, about 6 hours of work...but..take a look!

Wow! That looks very nice!! I just cleaned mine a bit and I'll take another pic. With my 22's I need to have the chrome removed. It's pitted and peeling really bad. Some area's you can just peel right off and the chrome is pretty sharp in some spots.

I got the email adress to the rim shop. I was waiting for my friend to get back to me. This shop did amazing work! Here is a link to their website.

I've also heard good things about wheel wizards as well. I'll have to wait until the winter time to do stuff on mine since I've been unemployed for a year now. <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... #>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />

Re: Powder coat or Paint??
Well just removed the 22's off the rims and now I'll check out a few places than may be able to do something with them. I'll give Wheel wizards a call before heading down. No reason to drive over if the $$ is too much.
