Why is this a take out from a brand new vehicle? There seems to be no logic in that, what are these, stolen then stripped?

We get new vehicles from GM rite off the line, prototypes and show cars. Then we strip the down and sell the parts. It's main for GM more than us. When they release a new vehicle there's typically not enough parts available if the new vehicle is in a accident. So we have the parts if a body shop or dealership calls. We only deal with new vehicles, the oldest we go back 07ish. We do have a few things longer than like specialties like Hummers and SSR's, Vettes and so on. This way GM don't have to start selling new models without parts ready for them. They take a bit to build up inventory.
