Well I picked up this unit to add to our H3. Bought the mighty expensive wire harness that keeps the audible tones for the door, ignition and stuff like that. $140+tax made by PAC-Audio (http://www.pac-audio.com/instructions/c2r-gm24.pdf)
After installing and getting everything right it seems like the sub-bass is not there. We had the monsoon system so all I did was change the head unit. I'm wondering if anyone knows the pin layout of colour codes for the wires. I'd rather keep the factory amp rather that adding one.
Any ideas?
Added a Kenwood unit.

Re: Added a Kenwood unit.
You will need to check several items to figure out the problem and they are not related to the module you purchased.
I have had many H2's and installed many Kenwood head units into them over the years. Each time the Sub dropped out as the Factory unit powered the Sub and the Kenwood does not. You need to make sure the Monsoon is a self powered Sub and if not then you will need to integrate another amplifying in the mix to power the Sub. There is a Sub out signal ONLY from the Kenwood head units. Run these RCA's to your new Amp to power the Sub.
If the Monsoon is already powered and you have hooked up the RCA's to it then check your Kenwood settings. They come standard with the SUB selected as off.
Hopefully that helps you.
Cheers

Thanks for the info. I'll remove the rear panel and have a look at the amp and sub so I can trace the wires. I think the OEM radio might have another set of lines going to the rear just for the sub.

Turns out the deck needs to have the crossover set to through to have the bass that was there before. I think I'll have to add an amp and box to make it sound better and set the fornt and rears back to a good x-over point.

Some pics of it in my H3. It's up for sale in the 'for sale' section right now to fund another project.

I noticed that the tag on your post reads 95 Wagon Sold! And now you have an H3? Is that correct? I would like to do sort of the same thing, sell the H1, try an H2 for a while , then go for a H3, and by them perhaps there will be an H4 out?!!

I had both for awhile. Like a his and hers. If you have a H1 and sell it you will miss it but won't miss the repairs/ work on it. A h2 is nice but not the same as the H1. The H2 is such an easy truck to drive. Great turning radius too. Come to the Hummer Event next weekend and you can see them all and talk to all of us.

Re: Added a Kenwood unit.
It was a nice setup while I had it. The next time I know where to go to get a good unit for real cheap $$. The worse thing about GM's is that you need an expensive adapter to keep the onstar and warning chimes to keep working.
