I'm not looking to off road with it just local and highway driving.

Oh no! Seriously? I would look for a different vehicle then.

Excellent, our plan is coming together.
Step 1, sign up for message boards -- check
Step 2, buy a Hummer
Step 3, roll with the big boys!

Personally, I would go with the first one.....looked to be more original and less wear on the interior....just my two cents worth though

I have been speaking with the owner...he says it's in great shape and runs well. Regular maintenance (oil changes etc...) and has had no major issue with it. It does have the original transmission which worried me a bit since it has 198,000km's. I am leaning towards that one or the white one. I will test drive both (if still available) and have a mechanic friend give them a once over. $15,000 seemed pretty reasonable to me and he says all it needs to certify is 2 front tires. I'd probably put all new rubber on it.

The 6.0L might as well be bomb proof... the go for hundreds of thousands of kilometers before they need any real love.
Watch out for the adventure model with the rear air bags - they tend to dry rot and pop. The fix is relatively simple - swapping over to the coils from the non-adventure series, or replacing the bags, but I avoided the adventure when I picked up mine.
I am having a lot of issues with dry rot / corrosion on mine - I have replaced the PS cooler, driver's inner axle seal, PS inner shaft seal, and the passenger inner axle seal is now gone as well. All my chrome is pealing (which is fine because I'm pulling it all off) - so look for that as well.
Otherwise the truck is solid and I absolutely love it. It is a tank in the woods and a pleasure to drive down the highway - even with my 38" Michelin XML tires on it

6.0 is far from bomb proof.....
