Have you checked into group rates? There website shows $329 for Dec 2nd. Nov 18th is $249.
I have only spoken with them on the telephone regarding their different sites. We originally looked at December, but the date is somewhat flexible. My only concern is that we have been looking at a December date for awhile and no one said anything until recently, so I am worried some people might have already made plans for certain dates.

<P>We need more feedback from people that are going.  I posted these prices to let people know what the price is to see if it is acceptable or not.  If we think this is too high then we need to pick another hotel.</P>

That is certainly a concern. I will try to drum up more interest and more participation so we can get more feedback.

Any more info on what we will be doing?Any more info on Prices? Are we going off road or just haveing a meeting and fun days? It is a 800 mile run for me so if we are not going off road I would not bring the Hummer.

I am open to suggestions. There are areas to offroad along Highway 11, but I am not as knowledgable of the area as others. I would be uncomfortable guaranteeing that offroading will happen, without knowing for certain what is available.

Okay...whats happening on this JPL thing...are we going? where/whome do I need to make my deposit at or too? The date is quickly approaching and as far as I can see nothing has really firmed up. I got the wife convinced so far..but eventually she'll book something else and I'll be pooched!!

It would be nice if there would be more than two Hummer owners going... can we start firming things up? Let me know as soon as you can.

Thanks Guy's

In other words all those interested say AYE! <edited><editID>MDimitri</editID><editDate>2006-10-11 09:45:35</editDate></edited>

There are about three or four local owners interested in attending, and we are trying to decide if we should go near the end of November or in December. Depending on the location, the costs can vary substantially. The lodge I first looked at costs the same right up until a couple days before Christmas, which is why I thought December would work better. (I get paid an extra time in December, due to the two-week schedule, so I can afford it much more securely than in November.) But if we go to the Jasper Park Lodge, we are looking at a big price difference, which is why November looked better.
