Waiparous - February Trail Ride

From what I heard it's a standard disclaimer on the truetrac not to be taken to heart... Rick had 44's and all was good... up until he rolled it....

so I was in calgary sunday for work and noticed there wasnt alot of snow....is there more snow out at Waiparous? ...kinda hope theres gonna be some mud lol

I have a distinct feeling there will be quite a bit!! Mud would be fun.... but I think there'll be snow-a-plenty.... Always a heck of a lot more out there than here..

We've been melting lately because of the nice temperatures....

Oh exactly, at first when I read that disclaimer I was disappointed but as I found out where people are using them and what guys are putting them through... meh my mind is at ease without a doubt. Tough little buggers!!



Not sure how the mud situation is in Waiparous... but honestly I would not be surprised to see things thawing a bit!!! Fingers crossed for mud... I was planning on scoping the area since I'm not exactly sure where this trail head is to be honest... but when I do I will check the mud situation!

Heck - look like we can start right out of the gravel pit... just have to figure out where we turn left....

The clicking on my steering has gone away for the past couple of weeks, soI think I am in for this run after all.



With that said, I have news from the trails from this past weekend;



I have heard from the last Jeep run that things are thawing a lot, this past weekend Fraser fell through the ice on one of the water crossings and it took a lot of work to get him out.



I also heard the Toyota club ran into issues with snow and mud on the same day, passed the stranded Jeeps but also had to turn around further down.

Also, the Beyond.ca guys are going out this upcoming Sunday... that should give us any insight we need on the trail conditions.

Gall Darn it... WE'RE GOING!!!!!! I'm going even if it's by myself!!! JL's with me I'm sure!



Even if we just play around somewhere and not do anything that may get us stuck.... Let's have some fun!!! I've been cooped up now and am dying to get out!



LOL - I hope Karl is coming as he'll go first!! (Just kidding my friend!)

Snow is one thing I seem to be able to handle ok... well, unless it is a giant 5' snow bank on the side of the road temping me.
