This board is really quiet lately!

Post by MDimitri »

We need to do some more posting here!!

I just had my brakes checked and found out that I had to replace my Hydro-Boost because it was slowly failing...nice! Image This ended up costing $750.00 for the part and roughly $450.00 for the install. GM Part number is 15212823, an equivalent part can be found at A1 CARDONE part # 527359 for $123.50US (Remanufactured). Or from ACDELCO Part# 15126289 for $323.88US (NEW). Both come with a manufacturers warranty. These can be found at this web site: Auto Parts Giant

Or another good site to go to is Rock Auto You will have to drill down to the Brake section, but you'll see that they carry the same Booster for $158.79. So keep this in mind when your Power Brake Booster fails and you need a new one, if you don't mind waiting about 5-8 days for the part then this will save you about $430.00 from the dealerships price.

Always looking out for my peeps!

Cheers!

The only fun in the snow that I have had is driving around town and sometimes making it through some parking lots. I am a member of a local offroad club and we hope to make it to the mountains to get into some real deep stuff in January.

You in Edmonton or Calgary?

The offroad association is a lot of fun. You can find their web site here.

It would be nice to have more Hummers in the mix. <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... /smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

I rolled through Edmonton during that last big snowfall you guy's had back in December 2006, on my way up I was coming off of the Country Hills overpass and started to slide sideways onto North-bound Deerfoot...no biggie! I released the gas throttled it a bit and it shot me into the ditch on the east side of the highway...it had to be at least a 2or3 foot snow drift in there...I gave her some gas and it just plowed through the snow like nothing, I went along in the ditch for about 60 feet and then popped back out onto the highway...a couple of guy's driving by thought I was hooped and started to laugh until I came out of the ditch and then they were staring with eyes & mouth wide open and probably thinking "if that had have been us we'd be pooched!"

MUhahahahahahaahahaa!!
