This is actually the worst part of LEDs In our climate. Because they do not get hot at all they do not melt snow and evaporate rain. As a result they become quite useless in those weather conditions.

Yeah, but wouldn't the benefit of much lower power consumption out weigh that?



One thing Ive heard for people that actually have lights mounted on the roof specifically for night driving is that they also have lights pointed at intervals for lighting around the truck which is great if you want to stop for a bottle of.. "milk". <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... ot-ssh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':ssh:' />



I've heard high power regular lights will actually drain the battery if idling where LED's won't...

So far this winter (it was damn cold and snowing in Edmonton) the led light bars I have on the back have not given me any trouble (used every day) ..and they have just been covered in snow and ice ...there dust proof , water proof ....and i mean seriously 50,000 hours life on them ....that means if you ran your lights 9 hours a day every day , those lights will last 15 years ...I have changed out every halogen bulb in my truck at least once in the last year and a half (All PIAA) ...its getting expensive .

the bars start at $150 ..and go all the way up to $2500 but thats for the 52" bars ....I know of 2 Companies and thats Vision X and Rigid Industries. I went with Vision X cause when i compared the 2 I thought the vision x were a little brighter.

I run PIAA Lights on my H2 SUV and SUT and non Hummer Chevy Truck as well

and PIAA Xtreme White Replacement bulbs in all headlights.

H2 SUV

2 - PIAA 510XT SMR 55W 4" Xtreme white Driving Lights in the Iron Bull Bumper.

2 - PIAA 520i 85W 6" Plasma Ion Yellow Fog Lights on the center of the Grillguard

2 - PIAA 550 55/60W 8" Plasma Ion Yellow Low & High Beam Driving Lights on the outside of the Grillguard

4 - PIAA 2100XT 55W Xtreme White Driving Lights built in to the Front roof rack

4 - PIAA 2100XT 55W Xtreme White Driving Lights built in to the Rear roof rack



H2 SUT

2 - PIAA 510 55W 4" Xtreme white Driving Lights in the Road Armor Front Bumper.

2 - 35W Cyber White Driving Lights in the Road Armor Rear Bumper - (Princess Auto knockoffs that fit in the cutout holes)



I can say as well like Gaza that the Vision X are great lights.

I had 2 on the back of my H1 and the 52" on the front on the Windshield Bar that I installed.

I wish now I had removed them prior to letting my H1 go but too late now, Super bright though and ran about 1/3 the power draw of normal lights.

The 6" lights on the back had 10 LED's in each and lit up behind real well.

The 52" lightbar had 100 LED's and would light up the road like daytime.



My SUV Lighting - Roof rack lights are the same on the back bar for backing up in the dark & tailgaters <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... oflmao.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':rotflmao:' />







My SUT in progress - Only 2 in the bumper so far... <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... #>/c-n.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':coffeenose:' />





Sold H1 Vision X Lights and had a set of PIAA 520i 85W 6" Plasma Ion Yellow Fog Lights in the front bush bar.
