Chip problem H3
<FONT size=3>I have a 2006 H3 and have been having problems with the computer chip. In extreem cold situations, the chip gets condensation buildup which causes ice to form and the computer causes to fail the traction control system...the truck still runs but on reduced power, only 40kph top speed...this has happened twice to me, once at minus 38 and once at minus 36...anyone else having problems??? Apparently GM is working on a fix...heard anything??? Thanks Andrew<DIV></DIV><DIV></DIV>Desparate and shivering...</FONT>

I do not know of any other H3 owners experiencing this problem. It sounds more like a fauly ECM than anything. You could push for them to replace yours and see if that solves it, even if it is something that they are working on.

I have owned my H3 since Feb 06 and have not had any problems with computer chips in extreme weather
