We have a recovery backpack Keeps things together.

it has assorted yank and pull straps a tow chain and a quick emergency strap with hooks kept by bottom of the door. ( we travel canal road often were strength is secondary to being able to stablize the other vehicle quickly )

The standard Hummer H3 jack a small floor jack and boards to support it and a 5 ton hydralic unit.

A large Quilt usful as a blanket or on ground as a ground cover or to move injured to safety.

Assorted tools including scissors booster cables and a booster box with inverter

6 litres of oil and duck tape. these are on board always.

we add shovels one long handled

a box of chocolate bars bottles of water and tp .

My cell phone and On Star and Cb.

a bag of garbage bags ( can be used as plastic bags or sheeting)

also check out outdoors stores and get atleast 1 space emergency blanket very small like a potato chip bag keeps you warm.

Oh keep your nut shells crush them then carry them with you as grip compound ( Michelin X Ice tires actually use walnut shells in their compound for grip)also usfull old mats and newspapers.

Oh man, I have too much! I have a 4'x2'x2' Diamond Plate box that is full of straps, shackles, booster cables, jacks, tools, and most importantly spare parts (including 3 half shafts, idler+pitman arms, ball joints, etc. Lots of stuff. I probably carry 300lbs in tools, parts and supplies. The box drives me nuts sometimes as it rattles right now, but I will fix that by lining the box.
