A Lesson: Unfamiliar Grounds

Went out wheeling with the boys this weekend. Sadly, I had to ride shotgun in my friend's '11 JK Rubicon, as my truck had an unexpected setback during the Auburn install. Anyways great turnout, and good times, but things REALLY took a turn for the shocking and scary when we all witnessed a '10 JK enter some unfamiliar water, and COMPLETELY sink within a matter of a minute or three. The driver (sole occupant) was lucky enough to get out early enough, and no one was harmed. Two other new guys/greenies also got into other water rather deep, but not beyond the point of being able to drive home with zero to little damage. The trip really opened everyone's eyes to the need for caution when approaching water you are not familiar with. Us offroaders may drive tough trucks, and some more built and engineered than others, but mother nature and the x-factor can remind you very quickly and forcefully who's got the reigns.

This buggy broke his front driveshaft on arrival, but the propane-injected, LS2 powered on 42" Pitbull Rocker former YJ truck was nothing short of awesome, even in 2wd -
