Threw together a last minute run this weekend with a few guys, most importantly my buddy's M818 (aka the H1 recovery vehicle hahaha).

Here's some footage from the run, and let us all say a prayer in memory of my clutch fan hahaha. Other than that, no real damage or issues surprisingly on my truck.

Enjoy -

With the exception of my own recovery, none of the recoveries performed would have been beyond the realm and capabilities of my truck and rigging gear. Had the M818 not been there, I would have been a tad more conservative with my obstacles, but this gave me a little more free reign to get into some deeper trouble lol, however I did not anticipate the water depth I encountered, not that it resulted in any damage really short of a clutch fan. I wanted to be pulled forward, rather than backwards thru the waterhole, but took the word of everyone else. Live and learn! <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... ght_on.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':right_on:' />

You had me cringing in that deep water as your truck started to sink... too close to the air intake for me. Glad you made it out pretty much unscathed. <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... ght_on.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':right_on:' /> <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... ght_on.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':right_on:' />

I think HESH needs to start considering a Snorkel!!! <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... ght_on.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':right_on:' /> <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... ght_on.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':right_on:' />

If you look, I already have a 4" riser on the truck. I didnt want to go backwards, but rather get pulled over the embankment in the front, but everyone thought (despite my objections) that it would be better and shallow enough to go backwards and out. Numerous times I explained I thought it was too soft, but they insisted and I ended up trusting their perspective lol
