Well after Saturday's Trail Ride at my place I know there will be a couple of guys looking for some Serious Mud Tires. Here is a link to an Article doing a back to back 10 tire test.
http://www.fourwheeler.com/techarticles ... index.html
The Hankook Dynapro MT wins hands down! So if you guys are looking for some great meats, why not read about how each of the tires did!
Also I think HESH uses the Hankook...maybe he could also give us his own personal review of them!
Enjoy!

Re: Looking for Mud Tires
I am absolutely thrilled with my Dynapro M/T's and have been astounded at their ride quality, and performance offroad in all sorts of conditions, especially, once one factors in the price. Here was part of my post from an earlier thread about them, and I still stand by them, having run them for over a year and a half:
I will say Ive had excellent things to say about the Hankook Dynapro M/T's that Ive run on the H1, and they are by and large the quietest tires Ive ever ridden on in a MT style*, and do exceptionally well offroad in Snow, Mud, Sand, etc, and they arent death-traps on ice, and if you plan on going the route of seperate summer/winter rims & rubber, the Hankooks can be studded for the utmost in winter traction on ice. If I recall correctly, they come in both a 325/65/18 (34.8") and a 275/65/18 (32.3"). For what it's worth, I will have no problems buying another set when the time comes, or recommending them to close friends, and if you shop around, the price on them is fantastic too, typically.
* bear in mind the weight of my H1 probably plays a factor in this too, though
For what it's worth, here is another excellent article about testing them on an H1 as well, for further proof of their dependability and performance offroad.

Re: Looking for Mud Tires
This is a tire that I keep forgetting about....
Karl had these on his H2 and they were incredible. I must admit to not being happy with my KM2's and will look into these for my next set...

Re: Looking for Mud Tires
Yeah those KM2s... they have their merits but as a trail tire I'm sure you can do better! I had some Toyo M/Ts on my previous H3 and having driven on the KM2 for a few months I get the impression the Toyo was a superior trail tire. But! For road noise and street manners the KM2 is a much nicer tire... Overall I like the KM2 just need to be aware of the compromises being made. The Hankooks sound pretty sweet I gotta say!!
I still want the H2 to be comfortable around town so for that reason I'd be getting another set of KM2s before another set of Toyos but the Hankooks really sound like best of both worlds...

Re: Looking for Mud Tires
I was disappointed that they didn't have the Toyo Open Country MT in the test also. I Love my Toyos!
They seem to do everything right! I find them exellent on the street and amazing offroad...I am not sure that I would change to a different tire...although the Hankooks do seem to be quite good!

I remember meeting up for one run about 2 years ago and everybody had Toyo's... except Dave <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... oflmao.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':rotflmao:' />
I've also heard the Nitto tires are pretty amazing when it comes to beign in the mud. Then again, Toyo makes Nitto don't they?
