Found new trails near Bobcaygeon (~2.5 hours from Toronto). Some of them are challenging...Planning to go there Aug. 25-26th or Sept. 1st.

Anybody wants to join? I'll be driving from Richmond Hill

I might be interested, but would need to know how challenging they are as I do not have a winch and limited off roading experience.....

Hi duncanpa, there are few trails rated from easy to extreme; or to be exact from 2+ Easy 4WD to 4+ Severe trail (5 points OF4WD Trail Rating). I just discovered area last month, and checked couple of them... did try a bit of extreme, but didn't go far - since was alone... don't mind "crazy off-road" - but wasn't prepared for camping :-). I can hook-up winch at the back - but don't have mounted in front yet. What I can say is - it's gonna be an adventure... might get extreme. To be prepared for the worst - here is the rating description for 4+ Severe trail from OF4WD:

These trails require modified vehicles, including lift, lockers, and over-sized tires (35”+). A High level of Off-Road driving skill is required. There are possibilities of rollovers. There will likely be paint damage, possible vehicle body and/or mechanical damage. Winches are required.

I am not super experienced off-roader yet - just trying to quilify for :-)

WooHoo! I meet some of the criteria finally! Got a winch, and now have 37" tires... and some experience, although a long way to go. I feel special now! <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... ght_on.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':right_on:' /> Will be looking forward to pictures and or video so we can know what to expect. Is there any websites that show pics or videos of this area?

I would love to go, but can't make it out this year... unless I win the lottery.

Now that I don't drive it everyday, I think that regular maintenance has caught up with me!
