My 2006 H3 with the 3.5 motor has exhaust fumes that smell similar to raw gasoline and this occurs on the first start up only after it has been sitting all nite. I am not getting a check engine lite so I am a bit puzzled what is going on; so I thought I would check to see if anyone else has come up against this problem.

Mine does the same thing actually, although I usually don't drive it for a week or two at a time.

On a more serious note - common during the colder months as the EFI pumps additional gas in on cold starts so as long as you don't see any black smoke - then you should be fine.
