You need to stick with the 4L65E it does have alot of beef that the 4L60 doesn't. IE: More clutches!!

One quick tip...get an entire assembly...better warranty and ALL NEW PARTS!!! many rebuilders only change the parts that are broken and don't even replace the worn parts!!! Scary!!

Hughes Performance sells some of the best and you can get them through Summit!

Also you could just buy the full rebuild kit from them and their towing converter and have a shop install all the parts, just ask them to replace ALL the Parts and show you all the old ones!!!

Btw, are you sure it isn't just an electrical problem with the shift solenoids???

Hope this helps!!

Kev

PS: Or you could always find a low mileage used tranny and just put in the Hughes Torque Converter. This would be the most cost effective way!!

I understand John, still a couple days till we get ours back. Bigger, Better, Badder!
Norm & Sue
2004 Pewter H2 (with a splash)
2010 White H3T (sold)

I'm not stuck, I'm momentarily inconvenienced.
