electrical or engine ?

bought a project 95 h1 6.5 non turbo motor just done burning rich on fire up clears up smoking after 3 mins if shut off and restart same problem

Check with scan tool for the coolant sensor reading, this could be sending a cold reading.

Have the injectors tested and pump checked out.May be done with a scan tool if the guy knows what the readings should be.



Not sure on this, but does your system have a cold start injector??
