Just a couple guesses. First check your tires for any stones or screws that might be stuck in there. My other guess, when was the last time you changed your brake pads? my old truck made a similar noise and it was from a piece of the brake pad had broken off and was rubbing a little bit.

Sounds like a brake pad wear indicator when it is on the wrong side of the caliaper. Other than that or brake pads falling apart those bendix style front brakes are bullet proof. Check that front wheel bearing for play while your there too.

I once had a noise like that it ended up being the back of my rims was corroding and the chrome was peeling off and hitting something
