Single T-stat compared to duel

Post by Monk »

I have the 96 with a single stat, and was wondering if the duel t stat set up helps any extra for cooling?

On ever day driving my single good, but I mean for uphill etc kinda things?

I find goes warmer quick

The dual thermostat housing will increase flow and help with cooling BUT you need the larger water pump to really gain the benefits from it. That and you need to link the rear engine coolant passages!
