Sooooo, it's friggen cold.

I'm basicly driving and have zero heat in the cab.

I mean COLD air.

I check my temps and all is good,

So, I pop open the hood, and see my

(Unplugged )a/c compressor is on/ running?

Lol, was basicly It was an ice chunk...

I tapped (love taps) the ac clutch,

And THEN she stopped spinning (staying engaged)...

But every bit shed spin a bit...

I got a compressor from rock auto, and wow!! On days like this was super nice to have heat again.....

Mind you in a H1...you use the term heat loosely...more like a warmish breeze...never hot...not like an H2!

My 99 HMC4 gets plenty warm. -30 no problem with a nice warm cab.

But yes the climate control I had in the H2 SUT was awesome.

i had similar issues but it turned out to be a bad vac pump and a ground wire on the blower motor. took about1 hour to troubleshoot and repair. hate to see what the bill would have been at a shop

Speaking of "Luke warm"

I find "even with my blend door closed" at times on the Hwy, whe will blow hot, then after a while, just Luke warm for a little then back to hot,....

Now I did a 2" plastic tube , vented my drives rear aux heat to my drivers side foot well. Makes a big difference with keeping the feet super warm on trips....

Ya, I'm not sure why they wanted the "aux heat" to mostly blow in to the back,

So, I removed my cover, and put duct tape over the two vent openings aiming back, put the cover back on, and found a flex/rubber tube with a decent opening, (I used 2" diameter) back/down opening to front foot area,(I think was like 2 ft, not to much tube needed) so now there is a decent amount of air the blows to the foot well

Now at least on those super cold days I can actually feel heat on the floor,. And still some heats going back from the passenger side, as the back always it hot.

This year I cut open the aux rear drives side down aiming vent hole so more air blows to my footwell,...

Come summer I remove the tube and tape for normal a/c usage
