Rear view wireless backup camera installation.

Post by collega »

Hello, everybody!
I would like, finally, to install rear view wireless backup camera on my 2003 H2.
I should mount it on my spare tire( my rear plates also attached to spare tire).
So anybody has experience how hard to do it or what kind of wireless camera is the best for that?
I was thinking about:

Whistler WBU-900 WIRELESS DIGITAL BACKUP CAMERA.
It's solar powered so there are no wires at the back of truck, but there are many bad feedback that signal for this camera is not so strong.
Any ideas, please.
Thank you very much.

I had wireless on our h2 years ago (different brand)

Was sort of a pain, in malls ot would pick up reception in stores, security cameras etc.

Also when other around you have the same camera , I was able to watch THEM back up on my system.

Then I switch to a hard wire, going all the way to the back never any issues at all after that.

I think cameras with hard wires are more difficult to be installed. But i agree with you that it won't be any interference for the signal from other sources near you.
