it shouldnt be a problem other than the drive train being under powered. the alpha has a 17 000 lbs capacity and it only has more power. i dont think its a safty issue as much as a beat the shit outa my h1 issue. i drove the trailer home in the fall with a 2000 chevy pick up 2500hd with reletively no prob. theres gotta be someone who tried something like this.and tony you will see me in the trails again this year, just with a new tranny thats all

Alpha also has an upgraded braking system <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... /smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

But yea I dont see too much problem if you have brakes on the trailer and take your time with it. Also AM Gen suggests not using overdrive while towing. I remember someone routed window washer spray over the rad that would spray when they were over heating... If you plan on towing alot with the H1 might be something to consider.

Well since we're talking about pulling. Working at the Airport, a lot of times I need to move aircraft. The tug I use broke down once so i decided to use my truck. The plane was a Boeing 727-200 and weighed it at 175000lbs. My baby was great.

I pulled a Horse trailer with two horses in it about 1000 miles in each direction. Engine temp was only "issue"... Just took it slow.

Trailer was rated at 7500# but a scale along the way showed us just a bit under 6000#.
