Another Tire Thread - Picking The Right Size

I've been finding OK Tire has some of the best prices for what I've been shopping around for. What are you looking for and in what specific size?? I can keep my eye out for your size as well since I'm still on the hunt..

I have a freind at Honda West who orders them in for just about cost, if you have a specific Toyo tire size in mind I can grab a quote from him for you.



The only downside is they do not have equipment to mount tires that big... I usually end up getting Bob @ Urban Exp. to do it for me.

Looking for the Toyo MT 38/13.5/18's as I'll be getting new rims as well with a lower offset so no rubbing. No rush though on the quote as I can't get them until the H3 sells.... Bright side is that I still have it for the 10th run....



I have a mechanic that can mount for me so no worries.... I'll be doing the 2" lift at the same time as well.

Keep an eye open for an interested H3 owner as I've dropped the price on the Alpha alot to $34900.00... Can't do anything until that sells.... You'll see it in the 10th

Just FYI and to wrap up the original post, I did go with the 35" tires and thus far I'm super happy with them.



Only had them off road once at this point but the difference truly is night and day compared to the stockers. I went with the Toyo Open Country M/T. The vehicle rides a little smoother on pavement, even with the E rated sidewall, and tire rubbing is not an issue after leveling the front end. Only downside to these tires and any M/T is the road noise, they do hum on the highway. Between 0-10kph you can feel the knobby tires against the pavement through the steering wheel, but it smooths out 100% after 10kph. Highway tire hum is noticeable but quiet overall.



I can't notice any difference in pickup but I also don't drive like a lunatic. I expect highway mileage to suffer a bit as the vehicle is downshifting more frequently on the highway now. You're losing about 9% torque going from 32" - 35" and highway cruise RPM is 9% lower, so that's why you'll be downshifting more often.



$1300 for 4 including installation, so shop around and you'll find a deal! I'm going to pick up a half tread for the spare since it'll probably never see the pavement anyway.
